The Stihl MSA 80 battery-powered chainsaw is a powerful new addition to the AK System range of chainsaws. The first AK System chainsaw with a 14 guide bar, it has the best power-to-weight ratio in the range. Designed for private use at home, such as cutting firewood, pruning branches, wood working and felling small trees of up to 25 cm in diameter.
Fitted with a powerful brushless motor, the power output of is comparable to the MSA 160 battery-powered chainsaw in the AP System range and the MS 162 petrol powered chainsaw. It has 30% more power compared to the MSA 70 chainsaw whilst only being 200 g heavier. Improved Ergo lever on the back handle for greater comfort during use and across different cutting angles. Trigger system allows for maximum control over the chain speed, for working across different materials, around shrubs or on wood working projects. Transparent chain oil tank for better visibility. Quick chain tensioner allows the sprocket cover to be removed and the chain tensioned without the need for additional tools.
